Our pottery studio is located on the western side of
Mt. Desert Island, Maine on a small country lane
called Kelleytown Road. Look for our blue highway
signs. We are ½ mile from the borders of Acadia
National Park and less than 2 miles from the small
picturesque fishing ports of Goose Cove and Seal
Cove. Down the road a few miles is the Bass Harbor
with the famous Bass Harbor lighthouse and one of
the largest lobster fleets in Maine. We are about
7.5 miles from Southwest Harbor.

Mt. Desert Island has much to offer the visitor.
Acadia National Park has hundreds of hiking trails
with spectacular views, miles of carriage roads for
biking, mountains to climb, lakes to canoe and fish,
all of this surrounded by ocean with some of the
best cruising and whale watching grounds in the
world. Bar Harbor is a major tourist attraction with
restaurants, shopping and a museum focusing on
Indian culture from the region. Small shops are
scattered around the Island.
Our pottery shop and studio is located on 20 acres
of quiet wooded property and our home is attached to
the studio. This is important since we are often out
at midnight or four in the morning to tend the
kilns. It also enables us to work on some pottery
before breakfast or take a break from pottery making
and tend to the gardens or take a morning sail on the
ocean before the gallery doors open for the day.
We make our pottery in our retail space and people
love to drop by and see what we are currently
working on or watch a pot being turned on the
wheel.
